Review: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream - Copenhagen (SMLC 20)

Hello Moons, welcome to the first review of All about Beauty.
What's that one product that dragged you into the world of makeup ? For me it's none other than a 💄 Lipstick.
It's the most basic makeup product and almost every woman owns at-least one.
So I want to start my review blogs through one of my most favorite lipsticks :
Nyx Soft matte lip cream in the shade Copenhagen. (Interesting name right ! Fun Fact : Nyx has named shades of their soft matte lip cream range with famous city names, I have eyes on Monte Carlo and Prague next)
I was carving for this beauty for almost an year. NYX has been out there for years but was not available in India, until Nykaa launched it here in 2016, and it was a dream come true. Whenever I put on Copenhagen, people have asked me what shade are you wearing ? Want to find out whether it was worth the wait ? Then let's head into the review.

Packaging : Totally loved the packaging.
The product comes in a cylindrical opaque glossy tube which is made of sturdy plastic, so it's travel friendly.
You can't see the amount of product from outside, however the tube shows off the shade color which makes it easier to locate.
It has a velvety matte black cap which gives you the feel of texture of the lipstick, with a sturdy doe foot applicator attached to it.
This applicator helps cover the curves of the lips perfectly.
Here the text colour on tube is white, because the shade is dark, you might find black text on other shades.
Quantity : 8 ml , number seems less but trust me, it lasts for a long time.

Copenhagen is a Burgundy shade i.e. Deep Red with purple undertones. Will surely suit all skin tones, especially Indian skin tones.

Texture : I haven't come across anyone who does not love this soft matte lip cream range.
Gives complete Matte Finish after it settles down
Dries down in less than a minute
Does not dry out your lips
Does not settle into fine lines
One of the most comfortable crème formula I have experienced
It does accentuates dry, flaky or chapped lips (Usually all crème / liquid lipsticks do that)
You will have to exfoliate your lips and prep them with lip balm to get that flawless finish.
Lasting power :
Very Long lasting. Stays up to 6-8 hrs (Without heavy/oily meals)
Hardly transfers
Smudge proof
Survives light snacks and water
Does not survive heavy or oily meals
After meal it fades from the centre to out leaving a slight tint.
Reapplication is very comfortable

It was totally worth the wait, however it was not as dark as I assumed it to be, read the tip below to know how I made that work. Overall this lipstick is my all time favorite and would surely repurchase it once this gets over.
#AABTip : Use a dark purple lip-liner underneath to achieve that oxblood shade, like I did in my profile picture.
