Hi Moons ! Hope you are doing well. It's been a while since the last post and so to make it up to you all, I'm back with a review of the Cult Favorite M.A.C Matte Lipstick in the shade Sin. This matte lipstick is meant to be one of the must haves in the world. Heads up; this post has 2 #AABTips keep a lookout for them.
Brand : M.A.C.
Product : Matte Lipstick
Shade : Sin
Packaging :
The lipstick comes in a black cardboard box with description written over it
The shade name is mentioned at the top of the box
The bullet comes in a very sturdy plastic case which is matte black in color with hints of rainbow shimmer in it
The packaging is amazing quality, sturdy and very travel friendly
The shade name is mentioned on the sticker at the bottom of the bullet
The letters M.A.C. are inscribed in silver on the bottom area of the cap, and the cap gives a satisfactory click sound when you close it
On opening the cap you can see the silver metal bullet with the letters M.A.C. inscribed in black
#AABtip : There are a lot of first copies of MAC in the market, be sure you are purchasing the original. Check for all the above mentioned points in the packaging.
Ingredients :

Formula & Texture :
MAC lipsticks are known for their pigmented formulas and the lipstick stands true to the claim
One Swipe itself gives full coverage and one more swipe adds into the pigmentation
However, the formula is a little drying which I was not expecting for lipstick with such high regards
It does tug to the lips if you don't have a lip balm on
Even with a drying formula the lipstick feels quite comfortable after application
It does transfer and is not smudge proof
It gives a perfect matte finish, which only a few bullet lipsticks have achieved
Darker shades can go on a little patchy
Can be easily removed with a makeup remover
The shade Sin is beautiful Vampy Burgundy which will suit almost Indian all skin tones specially medium to dark. The shade comes out deeper on fair skintones.
Staying Power :
The lipsticks stays a good 4-6 hrs time
It sustains water and light snacks
Does not sustain oily food or heavy meals
Does not settle into fine lines
Does not crumble
Fades from center to out
Does not stain the lips
Price : INR 1500/- for 3 gms of product
Conclusion :
I'm in love with this lipstick and even the shade
There are only 2 cons overall, one is the drying formula and the other is that the bullet has shade indication only at bottom which makes it difficult to identify
Otherwise the formula, staying power and shade range have my thumbs up
Now a days lot of drugstore brands are coming out with good quality matte bullet lipsticks for less than half the price of MAC, so people now have a lot of options like Lakme 9 to 5 or Maybelline or Revlon lipsticks.
So in today's time MAC does feel a little overpriced, I might even dare to call it overrated, as the market is really picking up with equally good and some even better formulas for much affordable price
Might be a reason MAC came up with the 'Little MAC' range which are same products but in smaller size and the lipstick costs INR 900/-
But MAC lipsticks do have their own charm and I recommend everyone to try it atleast once in their life !
Where to buy :
Online : Exclusively on Nykaa
Offline : MAC stores or counters. If you are buying in person I recommend buying only from their official stores or counters
#AABTip2 : The perfect dupe of MAC Sin is the Revlon Super Lusturous Leather Collection Lipstick in the shade Queenly Me which costs around INR 699/-
