Colorbar | Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner | Review

Who doesn't love a winged liner ? It's as evergreen as a Red lipstick. Total Classic.

So to help you pick a perfect liquid liner, I'm here with a review of another product from my #goldmineseries which is Colorbar Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in the shade Black.

Packaging :

• It comes in a Black plastic bottle with a long cap that is silver in color

• The cap has a thick felt tip attached to it for application

• The thick felt tip applicator narrows down to a slender tip which can help you achieve those wings

• However you have to have a stable hand and a little practice to use this one, as it's a little tricky and can leave you with bolder liner if not applied properly

• The packaging is super sturdy and travel friendly

• The bottle is enclosed in a silver cardboard box with all the details written over it in black

Ingredients :

Texture & Formula :

• The formula leaves you with a long lasting jet black finish

• On applying it looks glossy as it is a liquid liner but it dries down into a perfect matte finish in just a few seconds time

• As it dries down pretty soon, you have to be a little fast with the application

• The felt tip and formula together does not allow an easy 'one swipe, smooth line' application, specially if your eyelid skin has fine lines or wrinkles, so you have to be careful while applying

• Take times to work out the shape of liner/wing as compared to other liners

• However it's easy to clean if you mess up, as it peels of easily without leaving residue on use of a damn cloth / tissue

• It does leave black residue if you try to wash it off by rubbing it with water

• Does not settle into crease or cracks during humid summers, even if you have oily lids

Conclusion :

• One swipe gives you enough pigment as seen in picture above

• It gives a jet black matte finish

• It is Smudge Proof, Sweat Proof and Water Resistant, once it dries down

• However if you smudge even once after applying water, it does come off, so it is not Waterproof as it claims

• It's easy to remove it with a makeup remover without getting panda eyes

• It lasts all day long (upto 8-9 hrs) if you avoid rubbing your eyes

• I was out all day walking in hot sun, sweating in Mumbai humidity, with wings applied by this liner and I was home only after dinner and it still did not budge at all.

• I personally don't like the thick felt tip applicator as it does not allow much precision in lines

• Very affordable for the great quality it provides

• The bottle does not dry up soon

• I totally recommend it for everyday or even ocassional use because of the great quality, long lasting matte finish, easy removal, affordability and availability

#AABtip : If you want a fine liner or wings, hold the applicator perpendicular to your skin, such that the narrower tip is the only part of the wand that touches the skin. If it starts giving crooked lines, stretch the skin a little for smoother application
