Biotique : Bio Myristica | Spot Correcting Anti-Acne Face Pack Review

I'm reviewing an Anti Acne Face Pack from our beloved brand Biotique.

People, including me, love this affordable, ayurvedic and effective brand, specially for it's skin care products.

Let's check if this face pack stands up-to the brand name.

Product : Spot Correcting Anti-Acne Face Pack

Packaging :

• The face pack comes in a very small plastic pot. Almost the size of your big toe.

• Tub is white in color with lettering in dark green

• The cap is dark green in color, which when opened, reveals another pull up plastic white lid.

• Double covering and small size makes the product very travel friendly

• The ingredients, details, date and mrp are all mentioned at the bottom

Ingredients :

Jaiphal (Myristica fragrans), Pippli (Piper longum), Haldi (Cumuma longa), Chandan (Santalum album), Geru (Red ochre), Multani mitti (Fuller's earth), Kikkar gaund (Acacia Arabica), Himalayan Water Q.S.

Formula :

• The face pack is quite thick in consistency and can be applied on the face with use of fingers or a brush

• The product is Khaki in color and has tiny black granules which help exfoliate the skin

• It is to be used as a spot treatment on acne affected areas on a cleansed face in morning and evening

• As it is a face pack I usually leave it to dry for 5-10 mins before rinsing it off

• It gives a tingling sensation to skin after application, but is not harming.

• The pack gives a cooling sensation while it dries

• Has a strong smell, similar to Iodex

Effectiveness :

• Suitable for oily and acne prone skins. Dry skin beauties, stay away from it.

• The skin feels clean and refreshed

• The inflammation subsides due to the cooling effect

• Leaves skin smoother after rinsing

• However it does not help the acne in any way

• Does not dry or even reduce the acne, even after regular use.

Price :

INR 199/- for 20 gm of product

Lasts for 2-3 months depending on acne and usage

Conclusion :

• Affordable and easily available

• Does not stand to it's claim

• Does not help reduce acne or acne scars in any way

• Relaxes the skin and gives a cooling effect

• Adds smoothness to the skin for a day

• Overall it's not worth the buy

• There are much better face packs available which gives the same result as this one

• The only skin care product by Biotique, yet, which I won't repurchase or recommend
