Biotique : Bio Cucumber Toner Review

Hey darlings ! I hope my reviews were informative so far, but if they are too lengthy, please let me know. It's Tuesday and I'm here with another review. This product is my routine #goldmine product, but was not included in my #goldmineseries which I did on Instagram during my blog launch, as it might be harsh for dry skins. But for normal, oily and combination skins, this product is super beneficial.

I have described why and how to use a toner in my daily skincare routine post. If you haven't read that already, please read it first, as it will help you to understand the importance of the product more.

Brand : Biotique (Advanced Ayurveda)

Product : Bio Cucumber Pore Tightening Toner

Suits : Normal to Oily and Combination skin types.

Packaging :

• It comes in a cardboard box of dark green and off white color which has all the description about the product.

• The bottle is made of plastic and has a dark green plastic cap

• The bottle has a stopper with a hole in the center which dispenses the liquid

• Packaging is sturdy and travel friendly

• However if you tighten the cap too much, the plastic inside the cap can just break and fall inside the bottle and later become obstruction to flow of the product, so handle carefully

Ingredients :

• As much as I know, it is not 100% organic or natural

• However it does not contain any harmful chemicals or preservatives

Texture :

• The toner has a watery - runny consistency

• It is light green in color

• It might tingle your skin during first few uses, but it is not harmful, it's usually a sign it's working for your skin

• However if the tingling does not subside stop the use, read the ingredient list and do a patch test to check if you are allergic to anything.

How to use :

1. Cleanse your face with a face wash and pat dry

2. Dispense a little amount of liquid on a cotton pad / ball

3. Wipe all over the face, neck and behind ears except the area around eyes and lips, as the skin there is very sensitive and might become dry on use of toner

4. Dispose of the cotton used

5. Follow with a serum or a moisturizer

6. Do NOT rinse after using toner.

Before : You can see clean cotton with light green liquid on it

After : You can see all the dirt that comes out after a few swipes on face and neck'

Conclusion :

• I love the product, I have tried other toners but this is the best out of all in this price range

• It helped me a lot to subside my acne burst (when used regularly with full routine steps for 2-3 months)

• It not only helps close the pores, it takes off all the remaining makeup and dirt off your skin and makes it squeaky clean

• It gives a cooling and soothing feeling once you pass the tingling phase

• 120 ml bottle lasts for 2-3 months if used everyday twice. So you will need to repurchase it constantly if it works for you

• It does NOT minimize or tighten your pores at any cost, it does claim so, but does not deliver

• Even if I'm trying other toners, I always keep this in stock just in case my skin goes in a bad mode.

• I recommend this to all the Normal, Oily and Combination Skin Beauties

• Dry skin types can go for the honey one instead.

• Super Effective, Affordable and easily available.
